I have managed to complete ( all be it accidentally) a list item!
The list item completed is:
10)Get A Nightmare Scarf on Gaia
And now to explain this harrowing adventure...sort of...
There is a forum / online game called Gaia-Online. It is mainly forum based with various mini games, and an mmo thrown in for good measure. If you like talking to random people in forum threads of variosu degrees of sanity, ranging from debates on ecological preservation, to people wanting to do strange things to cats (... Don't Ask...) I would definitely reccomend.
Anyways, as well as forums and mini-games galore, Gaia-online has a Avatar system, with your avatar being able to be equipped with various items. My avatar is below ( Gaze upon it's awesomeness!)
Their is also an in-game market for said items, with there being both a "Marketplace" and And one of the more expensive items is called Nitemare Scarf. And I have wanted this item since I have been active on Gaia-online! ( for those who are interested in adding me, my profile is: http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/slap-in-a-box/28672273/ )
And now onto how i got it...
You can buy special in-game currency to buy special items from a cash shop. And there was a certain item you could purchase that was basically a pot-lucky style item, in the sense that using it can give you worthless items, but really expensifve ones too, and as my
So i decided to buy £5 worth of special currency to purchase a few of these items... but due to a mis-click, I managed to buy £30 worth of the stuff.... which could have gone worse, but still didn't impress certain girlfriends who feel i buy too much random crap...
Anyways, I was stuck with £30 of in game currency, so i decided to buy 4 items, 2 incredibly expensive ones, and 2 not so expensive, and instead of decidding to use them, I decided to sell them, in the hopes of maybe getting some more of the casual in game currency ( sorry for the growing level of confusion ) that I could use to buy the Nitemare scarf.
I posted 2 of the items in the marketplace, at a slightly higher than average price, then found a buyer for the 2 lesser expensive items. Amazingly, I found one pretty quickly, and got almost a third of the money needed for my Nitemare Scarf.
Then My other items sold as well, and suddenly I had more than enough for the NM scarf! which I bought as quickly as humanly posssible!
And now I sit, £30 worse off, but with a, to slightly paraphrase, Bitchin new Nitemare Scarf, and a list item complete!
