Again, I seem to be on a roll with completing list items in the past few weeks, with another list item completed!
This time, the completed item is:
NO.22) Go On A Rollercoaster!
Now, as some of my many
I may have seen Final Destination 3...
Anyways, I realised I needed to overcome this fear, or I would never complete my blog list. And thus, I signed my self onto the nest college trip to Drayton Manor.
My Roller-Coaster mentor was of course my blogging Editor, the famous ( and still nicknameless ) Lucy!
We arrived at around 11, and had to listen to a lecture for about an hour... It was a college ICT trip after all... ( *Cough* and we got in cheaper because of it * Cough* )
After the lecture, we headed first to the pirate ship, which I've always loved!... Until now. I felt so sick on that ship, I nearly threw up all over my editor ( Which she didn't realise luckily...). I don't know if it was nerves, or just feeling randomly sick, but I don't think I'll ever be the same on pirate ships ever again...
Next we went what I called the " Gateway Drug of Roller Coasters" , The Ben 10 Roller coaster. Basically a kiddy ride, except for the fact that it went BACKWARDS... It was fun.
After feeling much better after enjoying Ben 10, I ventured over to a ride called Shockwave. I could see from the outside that this ride had at least one corkscrew, and several loop de loops. But, with my editor beside me, I plucked up the courage to go on....
It was awesome!!!
I really enjoyed it! While I wasn't too big on the corkscrews, mainly due to the fact that it was a standing ride, and during the corkscrews I was suspended by something no man should be suspended by... But the loop de loops were brilliant!
I was completely ( well, almost) cured of my fear, and happily went on Shockwave several times again, as well as the other big coaster, G-Force, which suspended you mid loop, then dropped you!
We also may have gone on the log flume 8 or 9 times with my good friend Ashley, and got absolutely soaked, something which my editor was not too happy about! As a bonus, and seeming as I've already put in a bazillion pictures already... Here's a pic of me and Ashley, soaked from head to toe after the log flume twice in a row!
And that was the end of the day! I'm now planning to try out Alton Towers, and the Roller Coasters there! Thanks to this blog, I've cured my fear!... I knew I was doing it for something.
I'll stop rambling and end the post with my roller coaster themed song!
It's something my girlfriend knows off by heart, and is technically about surfing... but it has ukulele's in it so who cares. It's 'Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride' from the movie Lilo And Stitch!
That's All Folks!
