Snood's World Sunday! A Trip To Math...

Hello Intrepid Readers!

As promised, I'm writing the first post of Snood's World Sunday!

And On the proverbial menu today is my exploits in maths! And by that, I mean I've had my first lesson with my maths tutor today.
Unfortunately readers, I didn't get the best score in my AS Maths exams.
Well, they were ok  ( I got a C and a D) but I need an A in Mathematics to get into University, for the course I want, and there's a small difference between A's and C's. And by small, I mean stupendously massive.

You see readers, I have a small problem. Unfortunately, I struggle to focus enough to revise my lessons, and would much rather... well I'm not exactly sure what I did for those months, but it wasn't revision, I can tell you that. I think probably Xbox-ificating. which I am now 2 months, 4 days sober from! .. I miss borderlands...

Anyways, I have come to realise, that this disinterest in revision, to put it simply was...Er... Stupid.
If you need a further information on how I feel about my revisionlessnessness ( big words :D) please refer to the big bold words in my last post.

Anyways, I decided to counter-act this massive feth-up by finding a maths tutor to help run through Core 1& 2 Mathematics with me. My mother had found a tutor through a friend of a friend, and I'd arranged a meeting for what is now yesterday.
(Just on a side note, Im talking to you from the past when writing this, so that's technically time travel. Yep, definitely time travel. Not common sense and how blogs usually work. Time travel. there that's cleared up)

I arrived at the tutor's house at about half 12 and after a quick talk, we settled down, and started looking at some basic trigonometry.

...

Dear googly moogly I hate trigonometry.

I can sum up the first 15 minutes of the lesson in exactly one Deadpool picture.

( note, I don't own Deadpool, but I wish I did... Though to be fair, no-one owns Deadpool. Deadpool owns You. Yes, you! The one in the front with the glasses!)

It took some time to remember even the basics of trig. Did I mention I hate trig?
But my tutor managed to pull me through the pages with a large only a small amount of dragging.
And then we moved onto the sine and cosine rule.

Now, as I'm sure you've guessed, trig is not my strong point. Did I mention I hate trig? Anyway, the tutor started to go through the various ways to use the sine rule, the cosine rule, and for good measure, through in some SohCahToa for good measure.
 ...
The important bit, the really important bit, is that it made sense.
I understood all of what this man was telling me, and even better, I understand the rules and when/how to use them for what felt like the first time.
*sniffs* it was beautiful.
I think I may have accidentally hired some sort of maths warlock, or maths psychic, as he managed to get all of this information in my head with what looked like minimal effort.

We swiftly came to the end of the lesson, and while I grovelled at his feet in the hopes he wouldn't turn me into a quadratic equation, we arranged another lesson, and I walked out of his house with a spring in my step.

It was a good day for Mathematics readers.
I now feel much more confident and have even designed a hap-hazard revision schedule to help me revise for all my subjects ( yes I'm re-sitting more than one... )

And with that, I will bring Snood's World Sunday to a close!
Thanks for reading. if you like the post perchance you could leave a comment? or if not leave one anyway, I want me some comments!

That's All Folks!
