Now first of all, i must apologize for not putting any posts up in the past couple of weeks, which i blame on my birthday ( Yay 17!), helping my gran fix her disatrous looking garden ( oh ye gods it hurts) , and plain laziness. This is what happened when i get off of college!
anyways with that over, i can get on with the review!
now, the film i'm reviewing today, though not technically new, has not been watched by myself for several years now, and therefore, i'm reviewing it. because it is extremely close to my heart. and Awesome.
This is down to the fact that it is the BEST Disney film ever. A fact that i am prepared to argue, and, indeed, fight over.
this film is: Disneys Robin Hood
now, most people say that the animation is incredibly choppy, not that very well edited, or well drawn altogether for that matter , and because of this, the film isn't very good( who are these people, and how do they say so many wrong things?)
Though i would agree with these people on the choppiness , the animation, and even the drawing in places ( you can actually see where bits have been rubbed out if you look closely) , they are, to be honest, totally bloody bonkers if they think that the film is bad just because of this, and can stuff their opinion where the sun doesn't shine!
... Sorry about that "people" whoever you are, that was a little harsh... But your wrong. so deal with it.
This film, though almost definitely lessened ( but only slightly) by its quality, is propped up by it's quirky songs. In the same way, say, a skyscraper is held up. or a monolith. or... forget it, the songs are brilliant, the metaphor... not so much.
Now i will admit, right now, that i usually hate movies which contain singing. The most horrible, mind numbingly painful moment i have ever stomached in a movie was the Muppets Movie ( 2012) intro song... that really hurt. a lot.
However, Disney's Robin Hood is one of the few films i can not only stomach, but love. This is down to the fact that the songs are so quirky, catchy and downright brilliant, that they blow every other Disney film out of the proverbial water. It also has the best intro song of any film i have ever, and probably will ever watch.
So, therefore, i am awarding Disney's Robin Hood a 5/5 ! ... a little biased, but it's my blog, mwaahahahaaaa... sorry, i still can't stop doing that,
And now we come to the end of this post. Just before we finish here, and i go catch some much deserved hours of sleep, i'd like to thank my wonderful ( and Gorgeous ) girlfriend Eli for buying me Disney's Robin Hood on DVD for my birthday, along with several other cool prezzies! you can read her blog at http://timewarpper.blogspot.co.uk/ ... however i must warn you, it's a little like the after affects of a crate of LSD mixed with sugar... so much sugar... *Sighs*
and now to play us out, i have chosen to show you the glorious intro tune to Disneys Robin Hood, of which i expect you to listen to... ALL OF IT. on an interesting side note, my college maths teacher once sang this to me. mid-class.
and with that, my intrepid readers, i bid thee Good- Night...or Day...or...oh Bugger it, i'm off.
